We are currently looking for part-time staff for the following positions:


Escape Room LA
JOB TITLE: Escape Room Host

Description
This person will serve as a host at Escape Room LA, a real-world interactive event where participants are locked in a room filled with clues and puzzles and have one hour to escape the room by solving the clues and puzzles they find inside.

You will greet participants as they arrive and check them in. You will explain the game to groups of participants, review the rules, and answer questions. You will insure that the game begins on time. You will manage and oversee minor technical effects during the game. At the conclusion, you will review all of the puzzles and clues in the room, and explain to participants how to arrive at the solution.

Location
Downtown Los Angeles

Qualifications
As host, you are the person that will interact directly with our participants. You'll be the "face" of our company. As such, this position requires all of the following:
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Pleasant and outgoing personality
• Strong leadership ability
• Exceptionally neat and attractive appearance
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills and experience dealing with the public in diverse situations
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently in a timely and reliable manner.
• In general, you must be able to work the same days and hours each week

Compensation and Hours
Several people will be hired for host positions. You will each work a regular weekly schedule of 8 to 25 hours per week, based on your availability. Compensation is an hourly fee of $20. All hosts must participate in a 10 to 15-hour training period (schedule tbd), for which you will be paid an hourly fee of $15.

Escape Room LA
JOB TITLE: Escape Room Manager

DATE POSTED: SEPTEMBER 10, 2014

Description
This person will serve as the manger for Escape Room LA, a real-world interactive event where participants are locked in a room filled with clues and puzzles and have one hour to escape the room by solving the clues and puzzles they find inside.

You will administer and supervise the day-to-day operations of Escape Room LA, including:
• hiring and scheduling of staff
• regular setup and maintenance of the room, including resetting props and puzzles
• preparing regular reports
• interacting with customers in person and/or via telephone or e-mail
• daily maintenance of the space, including cleaning
• solving staff or customer service-related issues in a professional manner in accordance with the policies of Race/LA
• acting as Escape Room Host for at least 4 sessions each week.
